Roberto Rovira
GUSC Director, Principal of Studio Roberto Rovira, a Professor, and former Chair of FIU’s Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design (LAEUD). With his diverse background in design, engineering, and the arts, he views landscape architecture as a crucial force in shaping public imagination and experience.
My Story
Roberto Rovira’s work has been honored in over 11 international competitions and has received accolades from prominent organizations, including the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, and the American Institute of Architects. His achievements have also been recognized by Fast Company Magazine, the Kauffman Foundation, and the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Rovira’s contributions have been featured in major publications such as Fast Company, Princeton Architectural Press, and Landscape Architecture Magazine. He has lectured at more than 17 universities globally and has presented his work in over 20 cities around the world.
Additionally, he recently served as President of the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing scholarship, leadership, and research in landscape architecture, after previously holding roles as VP of Leadership and VP of Research.
